A new destination rooted in nature, community, and design has officially opened its doors. ARC CLUB, the first social and experiential hub within the ARC of Franschhoek precinct, marks a significant milestone in redefining how people connect with landscapes, architecture, and each other.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Berg River Dam, ARC CLUB is more than a venue – it is a living expression of regenerative tourism. Built using natural materials and guided by biophilic design principles, the space reflects ARC’s philosophy of working with what already exists: honouring ruins, restoring ecosystems, and creating meaningful human experiences.
ARC CLUB offers members and visitors a curated environment where outdoor adventure meets conscious design. From trail access and nature immersion to community gatherings and cultural moments, the Club becomes a central point where stories, ideas, and people converge.
“This is not just about opening a space – it’s about opening a new way of thinking,” says the ARC team. “ARC CLUB represents a shift toward places that give back – to the land, to the community, and to the future.”

The broader ARC vision is anchored in a powerful public-private partnership aimed at regenerating the Berg River Dam precinct into a flagship conservation and tourism destination. The initiative prioritises ecological restoration, local job creation (15 permanent jobs now secured), and community participation as core pillars of its development.
ARC CLUB is the first of many layered experiences to be introduced, forming part of a long-term vision that blends architecture, conservation, and adventure into a new model for the Cape Winelands.
