Knorhoek and Quoin Rock are proud to celebrate a landmark showing at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards, a moment that underscores both estates’ rising global stature and dedication to site-driven excellence.
The Knorhoek Cabernet Sauvignon clinched a staggering 97 points and was crowned Best in Show, a title awarded to only a handful of the world’s finest wines. Grown on the elevated, southwest-facing slopes of Knorhoek, long known by locals as “Cab Country”, this award signals not only the wine’s purity and precision but also the pedigree of the Simonsberg terroir. In a year when entries came from some of the most prestigious Cabernet-producing regions across the globe, this win cements Knorhoek as a world-class origin for structured, age-worthy reds.
Adding further cause for celebration, Quoin Rock’s Red Blend 2019 and Chardonnay 2022 were each awarded Gold Medals with 95 points, showcasing the estate’s versatility and cellar depth across red and white winemaking.
