On Monday, 3 August 2026, some of the Cape Winelands’ most celebrated culinary talents will come together around one extraordinary Long Table with one shared purpose: changing lives.
The annual Celebrate Life Dinner, hosted by Huis Horison, returns to the beautiful Clara’s Barn at Vergenoegd Löw in Stellenbosch for an unforgettable evening of exceptional food, award-winning wines and meaningful impact. More than a fine dining experience, the event raises essential funds to support adults living with primary intellectual disabilities who call Huis Horison home.
This year’s exclusive Long Table Dinner will feature an extraordinary collaboration between five acclaimed chefs:
- Michelle Theron – Vergenoegd Löw
- Fabio Daniel – Rust en Vrede Restaurant
- Jessica van Dyk – Post & Pepper
- Marthinus Ferreira – The Jordan Restaurant
- Matt van den Berg – MERTIA Restaurant
Together, these renowned chefs will create a multi-course culinary journey showcasing the diversity, creativity and excellence of the Cape Winelands’ food scene. Carefully selected local wines will accompany each course, while guests enjoy an evening celebrating generosity, community and hope.
For more than five decades, Huis Horison has provided specialised residential care, supported employment opportunities and therapeutic programmes for adults with primary intellectual disabilities. Every ticket purchased helps ensure that residents continue receiving the dignity, care and opportunities they deserve.

The evening has become one of Stellenbosch’s most anticipated charitable dining experiences, bringing together food lovers, wine enthusiasts, business leaders and philanthropists who believe that exceptional experiences can create extraordinary change.
Many of the event’s chefs, wineries and partners generously donate their time, products and expertise, allowing a greater portion of proceeds to directly benefit the residents of Huis Horison.
